The Widow’s Offering Bible Craft Template
Personally, this is one of the most moving stories in all the Bible. When a poor widow gave just two small copper coins, Jesus didn’t only see the tiny amount, he saw what it cost her. She gave everything she had, all she had to live on!
In a time when children carry more anxiety than ever, don’t use her gift to say we must give away ALL our money. Instead, point them to her love for God and her faith that he would provide. Point them to Jesus, who noticed her small gift, and remind them that any gift they give is noticed by our loving God too.

Materials & Equipment
- Printer
- Paper
- Colouring Tools
- Scissors
- Glue
Instructions
- Choose the outline template or the colour version.
- Colour in if you chose the outlined version.
- Score all fold lines (this is important!)
- Cut out. Adults, use a craft knife to cut out the top slot.
- Crease all fold lines. For the “hinge” crease, between the lid and the box, fold it 3 times back and forth. (This will help the lid stay in place when you open and close it rather than orientating one way).
- Glue the tabs and stick to the corresponding panel – this should be pretty obvious.
- Use this craft to tell the story of the widow’s gift, and remind your children that God notices all their gifts to Him no matter how small.
