Have you ever had a fight with someone you love and wondered if things could ever be okay again? That is exactly what happened between the brothers Jacob and Esau.

Jacob had tricked his brother and stolen something very precious from him. Esau was so angry that Jacob had to run away and stay away for a very long time – twenty whole years!

But here is the beautiful part. When Jacob finally came home, he was terrified. He expected the worst. Instead, Esau ran to meet him, threw his arms around him, and wept. No punishment. No lecture. Just forgiveness.

Esau could have held onto his anger forever. Instead he chose love. That is what real forgiveness looks like – and it is exactly what God does for us too.
