Daniel in the Lions' Den Bible Craft
Kids are amazed by lions. Big, fierce, powerful creatures. Imagine being locked in a den with them. That’s not wonder anymore, right? That’s terrifying.
But Daniel spent the night in a lions’ den and walked out untouched. Not because the lions weren’t hungry or dangerous. They were. Daniel survived because God was with him. God closed the lions’ mouths. He protected Daniel through the night, and in the morning, Daniel walked out alive.
This is what faith looks like when everything is against you. When the odds are impossible. When all you have is trust in God. And that trust was enough.
Talk with your kids about God’s protection in their own lives. Do you have stories of times when God showed up for you in unexpected ways? Share those. Let them see that divine protection isn’t just for Bible heroes like Daniel. It’s real, and it’s available to them too.
Then ask them the fun question: if they knew they’d be safe with lions, would they want to hang out with them in heaven? Let them imagine what that kind of fearless friendship with wild animals would be like. That’s the kind of peace and wonder heaven holds.

Materials & Equipment
- Printer
- Paper
- Colouring Tools
- Scissors
- Tape
- Glue
Instructions
- Print and color.
- Cut out.
- Fold background and characters so they can stand up.
- Optional: Glue them to a piece of paper.
