The Last Supper Bible Craft

The world Jesus hoped for us is unlike the world we live in now. We view people who are royal or “important” as people who should be served because of their status. Yet Jesus gives us an example of service by washing the disciples’ feet – a job so low that not a single disciple did it.

This craft shows the twelve disciples seated around a table with Jesus, capturing the moment of humble service. Jesus, the King of the universe, took off His outer garment, wrapped a towel around His waist, and washed their feet. He did the work of a servant. He did what none of them would do for each other. He showed them – and shows us – what real leadership looks like.

Jesus did this as an example for us to do the same. Can you think of ways you and your children can serve others – even if it’s a humbling experience? Ask your children: What do you think of Jesus after learning He washed the disciples’ feet in place of a servant? What does that tell you about His heart?

Help your children understand that true greatness in God’s kingdom isn’t about being served – it’s about serving others with humility and love, just as Jesus did.

John 13:1-17
