Weaving Dorcas Bible Craft A Sketch of Faith

Dorcas, also known as Tabitha, was a kind and generous woman who lived in Joppa. She was known for always helping others, especially the poor and widows. Dorcas spent her time sewing clothes and giving them to those in need — a beautiful example of using her talents to serve God and bless others. When she became sick and died, the people who loved her were heartbroken and showed Peter all the clothes she had made for them. Moved by their love and by God’s power, Peter prayed, and Dorcas was brought back to life! Her story reminds us that acts of kindness, no matter how small, can touch many hearts and show God’s love in practical ways.

Bible Reference: Acts 9:36–42

They brought meaningful gifts: gold for His royalty, frankincense for His divinity, and myrrh, foreshadowing His sacrifice. When they found Jesus, they bowed in worship, showing that His love reaches everyone. Afterward, they obeyed God’s warning to avoid Herod, returning home by another route. Their journey inspires us to seek Jesus, offer our best to Him, and follow His guidance in our lives.
