Showing Kindness to Animals Bible Craft
In a world that teaches us that happiness comes from getting what we want and need, it’s our job to teach children that true joy is found in giving and in service. One beautiful way to do this is by showing kindness to animals.
This craft features a donkey with all the things needed to care for it properly. As children assemble and care for their donkey, they learn that animals were made by God and deserve to be treated with kindness and respect. In some cultures, this concept of animal care may be foreign, but God’s creation – including every creature – matters to Him.
Use this craft to talk with your children about stewardship. What does it mean to care for something you’ve been given? How do we show respect for God’s creatures? Help them see that giving care and attention to something – even a paper donkey – teaches them how to be responsible, compassionate people. It’s not about getting; it’s about loving what’s in front of them.
This is a lesson that reaches far beyond animals. It shapes the heart of a child who learns: my care matters, my kindness matters, and serving others brings real joy.

Instructions
- Colour and cut out pieces.
Talk to you children about how the items for the donkey are showing kindness to the donkey (e.g a blanket to keep warm).
