Even while Joseph was in jail, God was still with him. Joseph had been treated unfairly, but he continued to work faithfully and trust God. While in prison, Joseph met Pharaoh’s cupbearer and baker, who were both troubled by strange dreams. God helped Joseph understand the meaning of the dreams, and Joseph kindly explained them. Just as Joseph said, the cupbearer was restored to his job, while the baker’s dream had a sad ending.
This story reminds us that God can use us wherever we are, even in difficult situations. Joseph did not give up or become bitter. Instead, he listened to God and used the gifts God had given him to help others. Children can learn that God is always with us, and we can trust Him even when life feels unfair or confusing.

- Printer
- Paper
- Scissors
- Paper Fasteners
Instructions
- Colour and cut out.
- Hole punch Joseph’s eyes.
- Poke through the paper fastener through both X’s. DO NOT hole punch these as the hole will make the pieces too loose and the eyes won’t line up!
- Turn the rat to reveal the dreams and show Joseph looking at both dreams!
